Philip A. Garrett Jr. is a Partner and Wealth Advisor with Stratos Wealth Partners. Philip has over 19 years’ experience helping businesses, business owners, non-profits, foundations and high net worth individuals accumulate and preserve wealth. He is certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, AIF®. He established Stratos Wealth Partners of New Orleans in 2013.
He focuses on understanding a client's unique needs, helping them plan for their future, avoid unnecessary risk and investing with confidence. He creates personalized strategies to address specific needs, implements tailored strategies and meets regularly to review and monitor progress. He seeks to help clients make well thought out and prudent financial decisions with confidence. Philip recognizes that if his clients succeed, he succeeds.
He is also a retirement plan specialist. He assists clients with design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive 401(k) profit sharing, non-qualified and cash balance plans. Philip helps with ERISA compliance, education, vendor search, fee benchmarking, and investment due diligence. He is a FEDC and FEFE designee to deliver Fiduciary Responsibility training to Trustees, Investment Committees and Board members.
Philip began his financial services career with Prudential Financial in 2001. During his tenure, Mr. Garrett graduated Top Gun in his class and was a member of the Masters Council, the Director’s Club, Prudential Leaders Council; all memberships were based on production and assets under management. He was also ranked as Pruco Securities AUM Leader with the wealth management division of Prudential.
When not at the office, Mr. Garrett supports several local organizations and charities. He is a Committee Member and works with the Public Operations Team for the Fore!Kids Foundation, which has raised nearly $23 million to provide healthcare and education for over 200,000 children each year.
Mr. Garrett lives in Uptown New Orleans with his wife Courtney who is CFO for Children's Hospital of New Orleans. They have 2 sets of triplets. Sons Jack and Oliver attend the Isidore Newman and daughters Ellie, Georgie, Vivienne, and Wells attend the Academy of the Sacred Heart.
Philip holds FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 registrations with LPL Financial and 65 registration with Stratos Wealth Partners, Ltd. as well as Louisiana Life Health & Accident and Louisiana Property & Casualty License. He is also certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, AIF® and FEFE FEDC designee.
